1. Keep Me in Your Heart by Warren Zevon

Some thoughts:

As I look back on the decade, a lot of things have changed in my life. At the start I was a freshman at Michigan State, and the end I was living half way across the world. To me, the most significant event that's happened in my life during this time was the passing of my mother, and that is why Warren Zevon's Keep Me in Your Heart is the top song.

I noticed a few trends with these songs. Many of them I first heard in a movie soundtrack, (5, 7, 41, and 48), and one became super popular from a movie (10). Also, two of the very best song are covers (6 and 7). And a few have a Michigan connection (2, 5, 13).

Best cameo- 39.
My favorite band- 30.
My favorite video- 13.
The best song I randomly found- 24.
The video you need to click on- 35.
The song I most loved the first time I heard it- 2.
The band you should most listen to if you haven't- 18.
The songs I think everyone will like, if they haven't heard them- 11, 25.
